As you point out, it's pretty easy to dream. And it's another thing entirely to bring these dreams to life.

I wonder how many companies can really answer yes to all of your good questions?

I think question #1 is actually the most important. Because if you haven't really institutionalized innovation into your daily routine, all the other questions sort of fall by the wayside.

Thanks, Eric. I do agree that one of the biggest areas where organizations fall short in establishing the high performance innovation culture is in infusing innovation thinking and practice into the every day work of there people. You wouldn't try and run a marathon with out first training and building your ability. Yet, many organizations seem to think that they can call upon their people to create optimal innovations with out first helping them to build innovation skills.
